Six matches, one series: inside the Fan Token World Cup
How six live Fan Token trading battles across two weeks turned a football bracket into 340,319 impressions of traded, spectated finance.
From the Portugal versus Spain opener to the Final, Battle Trade produced six live Fan Token trading battles end to end. Each match was traded live on Vibe, simulcast across the Chiliz, Battle Trade, Vibe, and talent accounts on X, and preserved as a full YouTube VOD. The series ran July 6 to July 19, 2026.
The format
Every match paired a real football fixture with its Fan Tokens. Portugal versus Spain became $POR against $SPAIN. Argentina versus Switzerland became a live $ARG contest. Traders competed head to head on the tokens tied to the teams playing that day, with the show built around the fixture: co-branded overlay, live terminals, four talent cameras, a round timer, a leaderboard, and joint commentary.
The scoring evolved with the series. Early matches were decided on pure P&L. By the semifinal, at the client’s request, the format blended P&L with volume traded, rewarding traders who stayed active as well as those who stayed right.

Where the reach came from
Of the 340,319 impressions, the Chiliz and Fan Tokens channels carried 244K (72%), Vibe added 52K (15%), Battle Trade 27K (8%), and the talent accounts 17K (5%). The three biggest days were the announcement wave on July 4, the opener on July 6, and the Final on July 19. Every impression was series content that did not exist before the partnership.

Why it worked
Fan Tokens are already emotional. Fans hold them because they hold a team. Attaching a live trading competition to a match the audience was watching anyway meant the show never had to manufacture stakes. The football did that. Battle Trade supplied the terminals, the production, and the format that turned a price chart into something you could root for.
“Six fully produced broadcasts, run live with real trading, that turned a football bracket into a two-week trading spectacle.”
