FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know about Battle Trade.

Battle Trade is a competitive trading platform where you trade crypto in real-time against other players. You start with paper money, build a verified track record, and climb the ranks. Top traders become eligible for copy trading — where followers mirror your trades and you earn 15% of their profits.
From the dashboard, tap "Practice" to start a solo match against AI bots. No risk, no pressure. Once you're comfortable, join a live lobby or create your own. Your Trader Score starts building from your very first match.
Trader Score is your composite rating across 5 pillars: Performance (35%), Risk Management (25%), Consistency (20%), Adaptability (10%), and Community (10%). It determines your rank tier — from Paper Hands all the way up to Legendary — and your eligibility for features like copy trading and ranked duels.
Each round, traders are ranked by return %. At the end of a round, the bottom performers are eliminated (typically the bottom 25%). Survive all rounds and finish with the highest return to win. Your Trader Score updates after every match.
Lobbies are individual battle rooms. Each lobby has its own configuration: starting balance, available assets, round duration, leverage tiers, and elimination rules. Lobbies can be public (anyone can join) or private (invite code required). Hosts can run lobbies for live events, online tournaments, or casual play.
Three formats: Elimination (bottom % cut each round until a winner remains), Marathon (longest format, cumulative scoring across many rounds), and Blitz (fast rounds, high intensity). Each format rewards different trading styles — elimination favors consistency, blitz favors aggression.
BTC, ETH, and SOL with real-time prices sourced from Pyth Network — the same oracle infrastructure used by major DeFi protocols. You can go long or short with configurable leverage. All trades in standard battles are paper (simulated) — no real money at risk.
Market orders (instant fill at current price), limit orders (fill only at your specified price or better), stop-limit orders (trigger at one price, fill at another), and trailing stops (automatically follow the price and lock in profits as the market moves in your favor).
Leverage multiplies your position size. 10x leverage means $1,000 controls $10,000 worth of an asset. A 10% move in your favor doubles your money — but a 10% move against you wipes the position out. Available leverage tiers are set per lobby by the host. Most top-ranked traders rarely exceed 5x.
Unrealized PnL = (current price - entry price) / entry price * position size * leverage. For short positions, the price difference is inverted. Your portfolio value is your starting balance plus the sum of all unrealized and realized PnL. Return % is your portfolio value change relative to starting balance.
Yes. If a leveraged position moves far enough against you, it will be auto-closed at a loss. Higher leverage means a smaller adverse move triggers liquidation. The FORCE market event can also trigger a random position on your account. Manage risk by sizing positions carefully and using stop orders.
Market events are disruptions you can trigger against other traders using credits. Each has a different effect: GLITCH (50 CR) — Flash crash visual interference for 10 seconds. REVEAL (100 CR) — Exposes all of the target's positions for 2 minutes. HEADLINE (150 CR) — A fake breaking-news headline shakes the target's confidence. BLACKOUT (200 CR) — Exchange outage freezes the target's trading for 90 seconds. TRADING HALT (250 CR) — Regulatory halt locks the target to a single asset for 60 seconds. LEVERAGE CAP (300 CR) — Margin call that liquidates 10% of the target's balance. FORCE (500 CR) — Auto-liquidation triggers a random trade on the target's account.
Defense items protect you from incoming market events: BOOST (100 CR) — 2x execution speed for 60 seconds. RESUME (125 CR) — Instantly clears any active halt or freeze on your account. HEDGE (150 CR) — Insurance policy that blocks the next incoming event. STOP-LOSS (200 CR) — Redirects the incoming event back to the sender. DARK POOL (300 CR) — Go off-exchange, hiding your positions from everyone for 2 minutes. INSIDER (175 CR) — Intel leak lets you see all rival positions for 90 seconds. FIREWALL (250 CR) — Blocks all events targeting you for 2 minutes.
Volatility events are lobby-wide price disruptions triggered by the host or by the algorithmic engine. They affect the price feed for everyone: Circuit Breaker — Sudden price drop proportional to magnitude. Moon Shot — Price pumps steadily over 60 seconds. Volatility Spike — Rapid oscillating price swings. Dead Cat Bounce — Price drops, briefly recovers, then crashes harder. Margin Call — Simulated margin pressure, 5-10% price drop. Leverage Surge — Momentum boost, 5-15% price spike. Wild Card — Random swing between -15% and +15%. Blackout — Trading is locked for all participants. Reversal — Inverts the current trend direction.
Save credits early and strike the leader in later rounds. A well-timed BLACKOUT in the final minute can flip the entire leaderboard. Pre-activate HEDGE or FIREWALL before taking the lead. Use INSIDER to scout rival positions before opening a big trade. STOP-LOSS is the highest-value defense — it punishes the attacker with their own event.
Yes. After triggering a market event, you must wait 45 seconds before you can trigger another one. This prevents spam and adds strategic weight to every decision. Defenses have no cooldown — you can activate them at any time as long as you have the credits.
Credits are Battle Trade's in-game currency used to trigger market events, activate defense items, and enter paid lobbies. Earn credits by winning battles, completing onboarding, referring friends, and placing in lobby leaderboards. Every lobby allocates a starting credit balance to each player.
Attack events range from 50 CR (Glitch) to 500 CR (Force). Defense items range from 100 CR (Boost) to 300 CR (Dark Pool). More powerful items unlock at higher lobby standings — you need to earn your way to the expensive weapons. Budget carefully: credits don't regenerate mid-round.
Credit purchases via Stripe and crypto (Base Pay) are coming soon. In the meantime, earn credits through gameplay: winning battles, completing daily challenges, and inviting friends. Some lobbies are sponsor-funded, meaning credits are provided by the event host at no cost to players.
Complete the onboarding flow (set your display name, choose an avatar, upload a photo) to earn starter credits. Practice lobbies also give you credits to experiment with. Referrals earn both you and your friend bonus credits.
Top traders by Trader Score become eligible for copy trading. Followers allocate a budget and your trades are automatically mirrored on their connected exchange account. You earn 15% of every profitable trade they copy. The platform takes 10%. Followers keep 75%.
Three requirements: (1) Rank in the top 1,000 by Trader Score, (2) Complete 20+ verified battles, and (3) Maintain a max drawdown above -15%. Your record is verified on-chain — no cherry-picking allowed. If you drop out of the top 1,000, there's a 7-day grace period before your followers are paused.
The performance fee is 25% of net positive PnL generated from copied trades. The trader keeps 15% and the platform takes 10%. Fees are only charged on profitable periods — if a follower loses money, no fees are collected until the losses are recovered (high-water mark).
Binance is the first supported exchange via read-only API. Bybit, OKX, Coinbase, and Kraken are on the roadmap. Followers on one exchange can copy a trader on another — Battle Trade normalizes positions across exchanges so the experience is seamless.
Battle Trade has multiple broadcast views optimized for different audiences: /spectate — Interactive spectator view with voting, chat, and event triggers. /broadcast — Clean overlay designed for OBS browser sources. /cast — Commentator view with extra controls and stats. /stage — Full-screen stage display for live event screens. /admin — Host control panel for managing rounds, events, and elimination.
Open OBS, add a Browser Source pointing to your lobby's /broadcast URL. Set the resolution to 1920x1080. Use Scene Switching to alternate between the stage view (pre-show countdown), broadcast view (during active rounds), and the leaderboard (between rounds). The overlay is transparent-friendly and updates in real time.
Yes. Create a lobby, configure rounds and rules, and share the spectator link with your audience. The admin panel gives you full control: start/stop rounds, trigger volatility events, eliminate players, and manage the prize pool. Battle Trade was built for IRL events like conferences as well as online tournaments.
AI trading models are the next evolution of Battle Trade. The vision has three stages: Train Yourself (play battles and build real trading skill), Train Your Model (use your battle history as labeled training data for a custom AI), and Battle Arena (pit your AI model against others in fully automated bot-vs-bot lobbies).
AI models are Phase 6 on the roadmap. The training data pipeline is being built now — every battle you play generates labeled data that will feed your future model. The model builder will include a no-code strategy builder for beginners and a Python SDK for advanced users.
Yes. Think HuggingFace for trading strategies. Share, sell, or license your models to other traders. There will be a separate AI leaderboard with its own rating system, bot-vs-bot tournaments with prize pools, and premium training data packages built from aggregated battle history.
